Ihre Mission ist es, die frohe Botschaft des Rock’n’Roll auf der ganzen Welt zu verbreiten. Die Bandmitglieder haben sich in ihrer gemeinsamen Leidenschaft für knallharten Rock’n’Roll, Rockabilly und den Rythm’n’Blues der 50er und 60er Jahre in Freiburg zusammen gefunden. Seither machen sie die Tanzflächen unsicher und bringen das Publikum zum Swingen.
Eigene Songs, deren Väter Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins oder Andere aus der wilden, alten Zeit sein könnten verfehlen auch heute Ihre Wirkung nicht.
Mit Schlagzeug, Bass, Klavier, Gitarre, Gesang und Saxophon wird der Rock’n’Roll gefeiert. Sei es mit scharfen Piano-Solos, harten Gitarren-Einlagen, Saxophon-Grawling oder einfach nur viel Affengeschrei.
Their mission statement is to spread the cheerful vibes of Rock’n’Roll all over the world. The band came together in Freiburg, united by a common fiery passion for bad-ass Rock’n’Roll, Rockabilly and Rythm’n’Blues of the 50s and 60s. The Handsome Apes have been hitting the dance floors ever since, successfully rousing the audiences, without exception, into bopping and swinging along.
Their original songs, inspired by the sound of Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and other classical Rock′n′Roll legends, keep alive the intoxicating upbeat thrills of the old grooves.
With drums, bass, piano, guitar, vocals and saxophone they’re celebrating Rock’n’Roll with sharp piano solos, hot guitar licks, saxophone growling and a whole lotta′ monkey screaming.
